What: This is our most popular clinic. The clinic is ideal for runners of
any level looking to complete a fall marathon or 1/2 marathon. While it’s main focus is on the longer distances, those athletes looking to train for 5k and above will also get a benefit from the program. All runners will be grouped based on ability. The program meets two days per week. They will do interval training on Thursdays and a long run on Saturdays. The long runs are mapped out and water will be provided along the route. Each athlete will receive a 12 week training plan, nutritional guidance, injury prevention tips, discounts at local fitness companies, and unlimited email/phone support during the program. The clinic is coached by Mike Toomey of Marblehead. Mike is a USA Track and Field certified coach, the head girls coach at Marblehead High School, the founder of the Wicked Running Club in Salem, and was recently selected as coach of the year by The Salem Evening news.
